1. Feasibility Assessment
Involves use of our experience locality planning framework to assess site potential and provide the client with an understanding of the site opportunities and constraints.
2. Developed Design
Involves the development of the approved Preliminary Design to a greater level of detail and incorporates design input from other Consultants. During this phase detailed estimates can be prepared; materials and finishes will be selected and presented for approval! And issues arising from the PIM and/or Resource Consent will be addressed.
3. Project Concept - Preliminary Design
That addresses the Client brief and the territorial authority and regulatory requirements surrounding the site and the Project. The concept is progressed into a Preliminary Design for the Project. It co-ordinates the design input of other consultants (geotechnical, structural) and any refinements of the Client Brief.
The preliminary design concept drawings can be used for the land use consent application to Council, if required. From materials and finishes to selecting furniture, our team can help you create an indoor space that complements its surroundings.
4. Construction and Building Consent Documentation
Involves the preparation of detailed working drawings, product and material information and specification and input from other Consultants to a level that will form the basis for an application for a building consent! Tendering and negotiation of a building contract and enable construction work to commence.
5. Procurement, Observation and Contract Administration
We involve a range of administrative and contract procedures required. We enable tendering and negotiation of a building contract and the commencement of construction. This phase involves the contractual and financial administration of the contract and !includes regular site visits to verify the construction work is in general accordance with the contract documents. The level of observation proposed is appropriate for the size of the project and level of complexity and where construction work is being! undertaken by an experienced contractor who can be relied upon to:(a) consistently deliver the same standard of work that has been reviewed by the Architect and ! accepted by the Client and (b) deliver a producer statement at the conclusion of the project.

Meet Bruce Scott
Bruce Scott is a Registered Architect and an Associate of the New Zealand Institute of Architects with a variety of building experiences in New Zealand and Australia including onsite construction management and hence practical construction experience. Bruce has been in private practice for thirty years in both New Zealand and Australia. He is experienced in large scale projects including aged health care, retirement facilities, tourist resorts, multi-unit developments, sports facilities and private dwellings. His Whangamatā Architect services contracts experienced drafting / documentation staff as required and as appropriate to the level of size and complexity of the project.
